Mentorship Infrastructure
for the Space & Satellite Industry

Founding Partner Invitation

SSPI is building the first industry-wide architecture to support, develop, and recognize the mentors who strengthen the space and satellite talent pipeline. This is not a matching program. It is shared infrastructure that transitions mentorship from an informal practice to a formal, portable professional credential shaped by diverse industry leaders.

Three-Year Program Roadmap
1
Building
the Foundation

Establish the mentor pool, deliver development workshops, and work with founding partners to draft the initial credential framework.

Year One Commitments
Active mentor pool established
2–3 mentorship development workshops delivered
Advisory conversations completed with all founding partners
2
Deepening
Engagement

Refine the curriculum, expand the workshop series, and build mentee feedback mechanisms. Credential framework validated with partners.

Building On Year One
Expanded workshop series
Mentee feedback loop active
Credential standards validated
3
Launching
the Credential

Official certification launches. Founding participants who have been engaged since Year One qualify for inaugural recognition based on their accumulated participation.

The Payoff
Credential live and industry-recognized
Founding participants qualify as inaugural certified mentors
What Founding Partners Receive

Participation & Co-Design

Your designated employees join the mentor pool, participate in development workshops and roundtables, and help shape the program through their engagement and feedback
Attend and help shape mentorship development workshops as they are built and tested
Advisory seat in the conversations defining what the credential should require
Employees who stay engaged through the three-year build arrive already credentialed — their participation counts from day one
Founding Partner status is not available once the program is established

Recognition

Named as a Founding Partner across all program materials and SSPI platforms
Credited in the SSPI Mentorship Library as a program co-creator
Recognized in public announcements about the program launch
Recognition reflects your organization’s investment in industry talent development

One Credential

The standard is the same regardless of context. Curriculum may vary. The credential belongs to the mentor and travels with them.

Practice, Not Milestone

Maintaining the credential requires ongoing participation. Mentorship is something you continue, not something you complete.

Recognition Follows Practice

The credential finds the people doing the work—at every level, not only those who are already visible.

The Investment
$7,500
Founding Partner
Year One

This is a one-year investment. SSPI returns each year with progress against the benchmarks above and a proposal for what comes next. You are not being asked to commit beyond Year One.

Fundable from workforce development, HR, or professional development budgets. We are open to a conversation about what works for your organization.

This is not a sponsorship in exchange for logo placement. It is a genuine working partnership in building something the industry needs, with your people at the table while the standards are being written.

A deliberate founding cohort. We are intentionally seeking founding partners from across the industry—large and small, established and emerging, domestic and international—because the credential will only be as strong as the breadth of perspective that shaped it.
