SSPI is building the first industry-wide architecture to support, develop, and recognize the mentors who strengthen the space and satellite talent pipeline. This is not a matching program. It is shared infrastructure that transitions mentorship from an informal practice to a formal, portable professional credential shaped by diverse industry leaders.
Establish the mentor pool, deliver development workshops, and work with founding partners to draft the initial credential framework.
Refine the curriculum, expand the workshop series, and build mentee feedback mechanisms. Credential framework validated with partners.
Official certification launches. Founding participants who have been engaged since Year One qualify for inaugural recognition based on their accumulated participation.
The standard is the same regardless of context. Curriculum may vary. The credential belongs to the mentor and travels with them.
Maintaining the credential requires ongoing participation. Mentorship is something you continue, not something you complete.
The credential finds the people doing the work—at every level, not only those who are already visible.
This is a one-year investment. SSPI returns each year with progress against the benchmarks above and a proposal for what comes next. You are not being asked to commit beyond Year One.
